MAKING DREAMS COME TRUE
This year my children and I experienced an amazing trip to New York, a dream that I really thought would never happen. Firstly because my son caolan, who is diagnosed with a very rare terminal illness, niemann pick type c, has not been allowed to fly due to his health deteriorating. Caolan was diagnosed with this six years ago, and my world changed forever.
Secondly, I didn't think that financially I would be able to do this. But with the help of Links2pink, we went to NYC on 5th January. Such a dream come true for us as a family. We had a horse and carriage ride round Central Park, went up the Empire State, had a blast in Times Square and loved the memories we have brought home with us.
The snow fell while we were there, and this created such a magical experience that we will treasure forever. To have wanted this for so long while never thinking it would happen made our holiday more special. I could never have achieved this without the support of Links2Pink from the bottom of our hearts.

Local man Stephen Thompson who is pictured with his daughter Libbie and Links2Pink committee member Elaine McCormick.
Stephen was involved in a motor cycle accident and lost his arm.
Links2Pink received an application from one of Stephens health care professionals to help with funding for a bionic arm which Stephen and his family are raising funds for.
We were delighted to be able to make a donation.
